Silverfish heaven
Follow Dave round Richardson Lake and gain some information on how and where to fish, in order to get the best out of your visit to one of the best silverfish venues in the south of England.
Although Richardson lake is better known as a general pleasure/
match lake, there are some big specimen fish to be had. Crucians breaching 3lb, tench well over 6lb and bream to 6lb. Five hour match weights have regularly topped 50lb and three-hour evening matches have reached over 80lbs.
With a top up of fish in February we should see improved catches come summer. Some small matches have been producing some good tench hauls and a recent junior match saw crucians putting in an appearance as well (see right). Further improvements to the lake due early spring.
