Saturday the 8th of August saw a welcome return to junior activities at Marsh Farm!
We welcomed 12 young anglers to the second of our coaching Saturdays on Hill Pond. Despite the heat there were some good catches of smaller rudd and roach and the odd bonus tench. It as great to see so many youngsters out fishing independently and enjoying themselves!
The next Saturday coaching session will be on the 22nd of August and remember – these sessions are open to members and their families but we cannot yet cater for absolute beginners.
We also ran the first junior match of the year on Richardson Lake. This was a parent/child pairs match and again fishing was reasonable given the conditions. Leo and rob Hackman put together a combined bag of 5lb 13oz including two decent bream for second. David and Michael Ewing made the most of a good draw on peg 9 and had a combined weight of 16lb 10 with Ewing senior edging the weights by only 2 oz. The next junior pairs match will be on Richardson on the 5th of September- draw 8.45 fish 9.30-12.30.
To book in for any of these session contact Kevin on our junior booking line. Phone or text: Kevin Holcombe on 07704 430685
